01 Studio

Software, made to fit the work.

Stow Foundry is a small practice. We design, build, and ship applications for businesses that need something specific — not another platform, a tool that matches how they already work.

Custom application development and technology consulting. Ten people. A few projects at a time.

02 Who

A shop, not a platform.

We are a ten-person studio. Most of our work is for shops, offices, practices, and operators who have outgrown a spreadsheet or an off-the-shelf product that almost fits. We stay small on purpose so the people who scope the work are the people who build it.

The name is the work: a foundry makes useful things to a pattern, then stands behind the pour. We do the same with software.

03 What

What we do

We take on work that can be held in one conversation and finished by a small team. If a problem needs a department, we will say so.

Custom applications

Web applications built around a real workflow — intake, records, scheduling, reporting — rather than a generic product you have to bend.

One-page tools

Focused pages and calculators that do one job well. Public when they should be public; internal when they should stay in the shop.

Operational systems

The quiet software a business runs on: lists that become records, calendars that match how the week actually goes, handoffs that do not live in email.

Consulting

What to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone. Written recommendations, not a standing retainer you cannot see the end of.

04 How

How we work

Short engagements. A written scope. We build with the people who will use the software, and we ship in weeks when the work allows it. After launch we stay on for a defined period of care.

  1. 01A conversation. We listen for the job, the constraints, and whether we are the right shop.
  2. 02A short written scope: what ships, what does not, and what it costs.
  3. 03Build in the open. Regular looks at the actual software, not a slide about it.
  4. 04Ship, then a period of care. We do not retain work we cannot serve well.
